ISPOR ANNOUNCES PLENARY SESSIONS AND SPEAKERS FOR 7th ASIA-PACIFIC CONFERENCE

To Be Held 3-6 September 2016 in Singapore 

Princeton, NJ—June 20, 2016—The International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) announced its plenary sessions and speakers for its 7th Asia-Pacific Conference that will be held 3-6 September 2016 in Singapore. The plenary sessions will explore concepts related to the conference theme—Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research in Asia-Pacific: Challenges, Opportunities, and Future Direction.

The first plenary session, Health Technology Assessment and Health Policy: Recent Developments Across Asia, is scheduled for Sunday, 4 September 2016 and will provide insight into the current status of health technology assessment (HTA) and related health policy in Asia. Speakers will share their perspectives and experiences, lessons learned, and future trends as HTA becomes increasingly essential to inform evidence-based decisions. Plenary speakers include:

The second plenary, Harnessing the Power of Big Data to Make Better Health Care Decisions in the Asia-Pacific Region, is scheduled for Monday, 5 September 2016 and will explore how big data can deliver value, as well as the current challenges and opportunities for utilizing big data to improve health care decision making in the Asia-Pacific region. Plenary speakers include:

The third plenary session, Universal Health Coverage—The Affordable Dream in ASEAN: Experiences and Lessons Learned, will be held Tuesday, 6 September 2016 and will discuss the current situation, challenges, and opportunities of universal health coverage in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Plenary speakers include:
